TONKATSU(豚カツ)



Tonkatsu(豚カツ) is breaded pork cutlet. It's a Japanese common dish. There two types of Tonkatsu, Hirekatsu(ヒレカツ) and Rosukatsu(ロースカツ). Tenderloin is used for Hirekatsu and loin is used for Rosukatsu.

Tonkatsu Teishoku(豚カツ定食) means a meal set with Tonkatsu. Normally it consists of Tonkatsu shredded cabbage rice Miso Soup(味噌汁) and Tsukemono(漬物 meaning pickles). It's a basic combination, but there is slightly difference depending on each restaurant.
