Sushi (寿司)

Sushi is very common food in Japan. Basically sliced raw seafood is on sumeshi (酢飯 meaning vinegared rice). It's called Nigiri-Zushi (握り寿司). As another type you can find Maki-zushi (巻き寿司) made by wrapping vinegared rice and ingredients with dry seaweed.


Ramen (ラーメン)

Ramnen is originated from China and growing up in Japan. There are various kinds of ramen all over Japan. Each ramen restaurant has original noodles broth and toppings.


Izakaya (居酒屋)

Izakaya ia a Japanese style pub. Many Japanese people like Izakaya because Izakaya offers many kinds of alcohol drinks like sake (酒) shochu (焼酎) beer whisky and so on. In addition it offers various kinds of afoordable dishes like sasimi (刺し身) yakitori (焼き鳥) tsukemono (漬物) yakizakana (焼き魚). It's called Tsumami (つまみ).


Tonkatsu (豚カツ)

Tonkatsu(豚カツ) is breaded pork cutlet. It's a Japanese common dish. There two types of Tonkatsu, Hirekatsu(ヒレカツ) and Rosukatsu(ロースカツ). Tenderloin is used for Hirekatsu and loin is used for Rosukatsu.
